Teen Adventures

Teen Adventure Trips provide teens with the chance to develop outdoor skills, forge new relationships with others, enjoy wild landscapes, and strengthen their self-reliance in outdoor settings. Whether they're an experienced outdoor leader or have never slept a night in a tent, all these trips are designed to accommodate different levels of experience. These trips are great opportunities for teens to travel this summer!
Most trips start and end at Camp Henry. Gear that is specific to each trip will be provided.

2024 Trips 

Week 3 | June 30 - July 6 | Chain O' Lakes, Indiana | Ages 15-17 | $850

Complete the 9 Lake Challenge by kayaking with us and earn the sticker to prove it! Take in the serene beauty of the isolated lakes and channels. We’ll explore other natural areas and find some novelties along the way.

Week 4 | July 7-13 | Hocking Hills, Ohio | Ages 15-17 | $850

Go for a hike, adventure through a cave, spot a waterfall, and enjoy some peaceful water vibes all in a day. Get away from it all in this hidden gem of Ohio.

Week 5 | July 14 - 20 | South Manitou Island, Michigan | Ages 13-17 | $800

Enjoy the island life hiking, camping, paddling, seeing lighthouses, sand dunes and more! But wait- there are at least 50 shipwrecks near the island, maybe you will get to see one of those by swimming or by boat!

Week 6 | July 21-27 | North Carolina White Water Rafting | Ages 15-17 | $850

FORWARD PADDLE! BACK PADDLE! Come energized and ready to spend the week whitewater rafting, hiking, and adventuring the beautiful Smoky Mountains! Come ready to camp in semi-rustic campsites and take away some incredible memories.

Regular Camp at Camp Henry is awesome and has been the core summer camp program at Camp Henry since 1937! You will have the chance to take part with your cabin mates in all of our classic Camp Henry programs, including Arts & Crafts, Archery, Boating, and Outdoor Cooking.

Embrace the great outdoors with the Camp Henry horses and stay in our western frontier village near the corral. You will spend most of your day with our amazing wranglers who will help you learn the ropes of caring for your horse and will lead arena lessons and trail rides.

Come give your time and energy, get your hands dirty, work hard, and get a glimpse into behind-the-scenes projects at camp. As a part of the crew, you will experience what it means to have a servant’s heart and what it means to lead by example. Part of your day will be spent with your cabin enjoying the traditional camp activities and a few hours each day will be directed towards serving camp.
