John grew up in a small town in Auburn, IN and lived on his family farmland dating back to the 1860's. Living in a small town grew John's love for community and hospitality. John loves building relationships with guest groups and welcoming them to Camp Henry to build their teams and find some peace away from the busy lives they live everyday.

John had gone to camp as a youth and started working in them right after High School. That is where he met his wife Andrea who loves camp just as much as him! John has enjoyed working in almost every position in camping and finding ways to make the best experience for the guests when they come. John has a degree in Organizational Leadership Ministry from Grace Christian University and is excited to continue using his skills and gifts at Camp Henry. John loves a great Fall campfire, eating homemade chicken and noodles and most all of all hanging out with his awesome daughter Claire, who you might find walking around with John. John and his family are excited to serve you and create an awesome camp experience for you and your group!
